About the creator:
Juna Ninetta Miedema (2001) is a spatial designer and artist from Arnhem, the Netherlands. In her work, she tries to connect people with the beauty of nature. Her fascination for nature and what natural elements can offer us, translates to the way she works. She bases her work on scientific research combined with research in natural elements, primely plants, on different levels. That creates the detailed structures, hand build sculptures and visual research to creates own identities in her work. Her sculptures have the perfect combination of creating attention by recognition and keeping the interest by associations and fascinations.
Growing up in the center of Utrecht, she spent every weekend in nature despite the urban environment. The weekends spent in the woods, dunes, and on the beach left a lasting impression. This connection has become the driving force behind the mission to reconnect people in our increasingly urbanized world with the beauty of natural elements.
